The objectives of the Guatemalan Cardamom and Seed Farmers Association project are:<\/p>

  1. Improve Post-Harvest Traceability<\/strong>: Implement advanced technology to track and improve the traceability of cardamom during the drying, sorting and packaging processes.<\/p><\/li>

  2. Increase Product Quality<\/strong>: Ensure that all processed cardamom meets the highest quality standards, thereby improving its value in the global market.<\/p><\/li>

  3. Optimization of processes<\/strong>: Modernize and improve the efficiency of post-harvest processes to increase productivity and profitability for the members of the Guatemalan Farmers and Seeds Association.<\/p><\/li>

  4. Institutional strengthening<\/strong>: Develop the organizational and operational capacity of the Guatemalan Farmers and Seeds Association to effectively support all its members.<\/p><\/li>

  5. Technical Assistance and Training<\/strong>: Provide associated producers with ongoing training and technical assistance to apply best agricultural and management practices.<\/p><\/li>

  6. Employment creation<\/strong>: Generate direct and indirect employment through the expansion of operations and the improvement of processes, benefiting more than 1000 people in the community.<\/p><\/li>

  7. Promote Sustainability<\/strong>: Promote environmentally friendly farming practices, including the efficient use of natural resources such as water and the implementation of organic farming methods.<\/p><\/li>

  8. Fair Trade Promotion<\/strong>: Establish fair and transparent commercial relationships that ensure equitable prices and favorable conditions for cardamom producers.<\/p><\/li>

  9. Market Expansion<\/strong>: Develop and strengthen strategic alliances for the opening and consolidation of international markets for Guatemalan cardamom.<\/p><\/li>

  10. Investigation and development<\/strong>: Drive innovation through research and development of new techniques and processes to improve the purity and properties of the cardamom produced.<\/p><\/li>

  11. Access to Financial Resources<\/strong>: Facilitate access to credit and other financial resources for farmers, in order to support the expansion and modernization of their operations.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>
